ABOUT DAN LEROY

Dan LeRoy is a journalist, teacher, and author. His previous books include a volume for Bloomsbury's 33 1/3 Series about the Beastie Boys album Paul's Boutique, and Liberty's Lions, a history of Catholic revolutionaries. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, The Village Voice, and Esquire online. Meanwhile, his speculative fiction has been published in several anthologies, and has appeared on the No Sleep podcast. Since 2006, he has been the director of the Writing and Publishing Department at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School in Midland, PA. His latest book, Dancing to the Drum Machine: How Electronic Percussion Conquered the World, will be published by Bloomsbury in November 2022.
